Cutaneous Lymphoma Clinic
A Regional Resource for People with CTCL
Cutaneous lymphomas are cancers of the white blood cells that involve the skin, lymph nodes, and blood. Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) is the most common type, diagnosed in about 3,000 Americans each year. While CTCL can mimic eczema or other chronic skin conditions, our specialized team of physicians can help make an accurate diagnosis and provide treatment.
The SLUCare Physician Group cutaneous lymphoma specialists deliver expertise, technology and diagnostic tools in treating children and adults with this rare type of cancer. Physicians from different specialties work together through a single clinic, delivering efficient care for patients, easing travel time and streamlining the number of appointments needed.
Located at the Saint Louis University Cancer Center, the Cutaneous Lymphoma Clinic team manages the care of CTCL patients from across the St. Louis region and neighboring states.

More About Phototherapy Services
Phototherapy is used to treat a variety of skin diseases and conditions, such as cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) and psoriasis. SLUCare Physician Group dermatologists offer both UVB and PUVA as treatment options.
This treatment involves exposing the skin to a specific wavelength of therapeutic ultraviolet light. Phototherapy light boxes produce UVB artificially to suppress conditions like psoriasis.
In this treatment, psoralen, a plant extract, is combined with exposure to ultraviolet light to treat the whole body or isolated sites such as the hands and feet. PUVA clears conditions like psoriasis for more than 85 percent of patients who use it, and results in long remission times, even without maintenance therapy.
